Requirements

This extension is built for Joomla! 3. Please see their minimum technical requirements.

Installation

Once you have downloaded the Qlue Weather package, you can then install this on your site. To begin, login to the administrator section of your website (http://yoursite.com/administrator) and go to the Joomla installer (Extensions -> Manage -> Install).

On the Joomla! install page, drag & drop or browse for the Qlue Weather package file. When the package has finished uploading, you will see a successful install message. If there are any errors installing, please take a look at our FAQs or contact us.

Updating

You can download the latest version of our Weather extension from the Weather Extension page. You can install this extention over the top of existing Weather installations to apply the update.

Uninstalling

To uninstall the Qlue  Weatherextension, go to Extensions -> Manage -> Manage. Search for the Qlue  Weather extension and uninstall the "Qlue  Weather- Module".

Using the Weather Module

Getting Started

Once Qlue Weather is installed you can find the module in Extensions->modules, then search for Weather. One you have the module settings open, the first step is to get an API key for openweatherapi. Navigate to https://openweathermap.org/price and press the "Get API Key" button, under free. You will then be able to sign up. Once you have signed up and logged in navigate to https://home.openweathermap.org/api_keys copy the key, then paste it in the module, in the API Key field.

The next step is to enter a location. Type in the name of the city or town in the city field, and then select the country from the drop-down. If an invalid location is entered there will be a red warning on the website where the module should be displayed.

In order for the module to display you should make sure the a Position has been selected on the right hand side, the module has been set to published, also on the right hand side, and you have selected pages in the Menu Assignment tab.
